Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has issued a strong response to the recent U.S. airstrikes, calling the attacks “heinous” and “a grave violation of international law.”

In a statement, he said:
“Iran will preserve all options to protect its sovereignty and the safety of its people. The Islamic Republic will not compromise on its right to self-defense.”

He further stated:
“This morning’s events are horrifying. Their consequences could be long-lasting and destabilizing. Every member of the United Nations must remain vigilant against such dangerous, unlawful, and criminal behavior.”

Minister Araghchi also sharply criticized the United States’ role as a member of the UN Security Council.
He said:
“These attacks are a serious breach of the UN Charter. This is not just an assault on Iran, but a direct blow to the foundations of international law.”

According to sources in Tehran, Iran is preparing to raise the issue diplomatically at the United Nations and is expected to call on the international community to unite against what it calls "U.S. aggression."
