U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States conducted direct airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. In multiple posts, Trump stated that the strikes were successful and that all U.S. aircraft have now exited Iranian airspace. Shortly after the attack, Trump wrote in a brief message, “Fordow is gone.”

U.S. officials have confirmed that B-2 stealth bombers were used in the strikes. According to military sources, these aircraft were deployed from Guam ahead of the operation.

Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported that part of the Fordow facility was damaged. Morteza Heidari, Crisis Management Officer of Qom Province, confirmed the damage. Meanwhile, Akbar Salehi, Deputy Governor of Isfahan, reported hearing multiple explosions in both Isfahan and Natanz.

In response, IRIB’s Deputy Political Director Hassan Abedini said in a statement, “We had just evacuated these three sites. So while Trump’s claims may be true, we did not suffer any major losses.”

A commentator on Iranian state television reacted to the strikes by saying, “From now on, every American in this region—military or civilian—is a legitimate target.”

The airstrikes have sparked intense political debate in the U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said, “President Trump did the right thing. The Iranian regime deserved such a response.” Senator Roger Wicker called it “a necessary step to preserve Israel’s existence.”

On the other hand, Kentucky Republican Senator Thomas Massie criticized the action as “unconstitutional.” Democratic Representative Sara Jacobs of California said, “This move is pushing the United States into another long-term, dangerous war.”

On June 13, Israel launched an unprecedented assault on Iran’s nuclear and military facilities, naming it "Operation Rising Lion." In retaliation, Iran carried out missile and drone attacks inside Israel.

According to Iran’s Ministry of Health, nearly 300 people were killed in the Israeli strikes. Israel claims several dozen of its citizens died in Iran’s retaliatory attacks.

Analysts say this is the most extensive military attack inside Iran since the Iran-Iraq War of 1980–1988.

Israel has a land area of 22,145 square kilometers, including disputed territories such as the Golan Heights, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza. Its current population is approximately 9.5 million. The state of Israel was established on May 14, 1948, by partitioning the British Mandate of Palestine in the aftermath of the Holocaust during World War II.
