Iran is considering the possibility of engaging in direct discussions with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance. A senior source from Iran’s Foreign Ministry told British media outlet BBC that Tehran has never closed the door to diplomacy and is placing strong emphasis on dialogue to resolve the current crisis.

The source stated:
“We have never turned away from diplomacy.”

According to media speculation, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi may meet with Vice President J.D. Vance in the coming days — if Tehran officially approves the proposal for dialogue.

Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump, in an interview, acknowledged the possibility of such talks, telling reporters:
“The Iranians want to come to the White House to talk.” However, he added that it would be a “difficult decision.”

Trump further stated:
“In my view, the only solution is Iran’s unconditional surrender.”

In stark contrast, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei responded strongly, warning:
“Iranians never surrender.”

Amid such rising tensions, the international community is now closely watching to see how effective these diplomatic efforts might be in de-escalating the crisis.
