Former U.S. Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton recently posted a sarcastic comment on social media about President Donald Trump’s military parade, sparking widespread political controversy and criticism. Particularly within conservative circles, she has been accused of “disrespect and disdain” toward the military.

Clinton attended the wedding of her former aide Huma Abedin in Hampton, New York, last weekend. Abedin married Alex Soros, son of billionaire George Soros. At that time, Clinton posted on X (formerly Twitter) a photo of Trump’s military parade alongside images of “No Kings Day” protests held in various U.S. cities. She wrote:

“Compare yesterday’s scenes in America. On one side, Trump’s low-energy favorite leader’s parade (which cost you $45 million). On the other, millions peacefully gathering across the country saying: Here, we have no kings.”

The post included images of military jets flying over the Washington Monument and tanks rolling down the street. Alongside were photos from protests in Los Angeles and Houston, where peaceful anti-monarchy demonstrations took place for “No Kings Day.”

Conservative Reaction: “Hillary Hates the Military”
The post sparked outrage among conservative commentators, former military officers, and Trump supporters. Commentator Benny Johnson said:

“This magician of a woman came close to being America’s Commander-in-Chief by just a few votes. See what she thinks about our military.”

Retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Baz Patterson went further:

“Yes, we have no queen. We have an elected president... which you will never be.”

Another commenter wrote:

“If Trump had only done this—kept you from being president—he would be America’s greatest son.”

Context of the Parade Controversy
The military parade was held on Trump’s 79th birthday and Flag Day along Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C., with the administration claiming over 250,000 attendees. The parade’s main purpose was to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army’s founding.

On the same day, “No Kings Day” protests across the country carried strong anti-monarchy messages, although some cities—particularly Portland and Los Angeles—saw violent clashes with police.

Reflection of Political Division
Many viewed Clinton’s post as inappropriate on a day nationally dedicated to honoring the military. Critics argue she mocked the armed forces during a day of respect.

A Jewish MAGA X account wrote:

“We already have ‘No Kings Day,’ Hillary. It’s called July 4th, Independence Day. That’s when we said no to monarchy.”
