Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “war criminal” and said that Netanyahu is deliberately provoking war to block any diplomatic breakthrough between Iran and the United States.

In a post on Telegram, Araghchi said, “The Israeli leadership is now hiding in bunkers in Tel Aviv.” He added, “Iran’s armed forces will continue to retaliate until it is ensured that our people are no longer being targeted.”

Araghchi stated that if U.S. President Donald Trump “truly believes in diplomacy” and wants to stop the war, then “a single phone call from Washington is enough to silence Netanyahu.”

“This could create an opportunity to return to the path of diplomacy,” he said.

Araghchi further added, “It was Israel that started the war, not Iran. We do not want bloodshed. But with honor, and until the last drop of blood, we will defend our land and our people.”
