"If Israel Does Not Stop Its Attacks, Iran Will Respond More Harshly": Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian

Tehran, June 15, 2025 — Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned that Iran will deliver an even harsher response if Israel does not halt its military aggression. He issued this warning during a telephone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani.

Pezeshkian stated, “Iran did not start this conflict, but we have responded firmly to protect our people and ensure regional stability. Israel’s continued aggression threatens not only Iran but the security of the entire Middle East.”

He further emphasized that Islamic countries must adopt a "strong and united stance" to resolve this crisis.

Clarifying his position, Pezeshkian asserted that Iran is exercising its right to self-defense, and if Israel continues its attacks, the consequences could be even more severe.

His remarks come at a time when military tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated significantly, raising fears of a wider conflict spreading across the region.
