During ongoing indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas in Doha, discussions are focused on ending the war, establishing a ceasefire, and reaching a hostage exchange agreement, according to a statement released Sunday by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.

Prime Minister Netanyahu on Sunday indicated that Israel is open to a potential agreement with Hamas that would include "ending the war in Gaza." However, he outlined several key conditions that must be met for such a deal to go forward.

His office stated: “Even at this moment, our negotiating team in Doha is examining the maximum potential for an agreement — whether under the Witkoff framework or as part of an end-of-war arrangement, which would include the release of all hostages, the exile of Hamas terrorists, and the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip.”

The statement further emphasized that ending the war would mean ensuring the complete demilitarization of Gaza and the exile of Hamas fighters.

However, a senior Israeli official noted that there has been very little progress in the negotiations so far.
