Israeli Forces Conduct Airstrikes on Port Areas in Yemen's Hodeidah – Houthi Interior Ministry
Israel carried out an airstrike on Yemen’s city of Hodeidah on Sunday night, according to the Houthi Interior Ministry. The Israeli military reportedly issued warnings to evacuate residents from three port areas under Houthi control before launching the attack.
Sunday night’s strike marks the latest exchange in the ongoing confrontation between Israeli forces and the Houthi movement.
Earlier this month, the Houthis launched an attack near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. In response, Israel bombed the Hodeidah port.
Israeli forces have also targeted areas in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, as well as the country’s main international airport.
For the past 19 months, the Houthis have been launching missile attacks on Israel and Israeli targets in the Red Sea, in solidarity with Palestinians amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
