According to a report by Mehr News Agency, Iran’s Foreign Minister has stated that in light of the indirect talks between Tehran and Washington, diplomacy based on mutual respect and shared interests remains the only way to reach a deal.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, the Iranian Foreign Minister wrote, “The American people have gained nothing from Netanyahu’s brutal support for genocide in Gaza and from declaring war in Yemen on his behalf.”

He further added, “Netanyahu is openly attempting to dictate to President Trump what he can and cannot do in diplomacy with Iran. The world is now realizing how Netanyahu is directly interfering in the U.S. government, pushing our region toward yet another disaster.”

The top Iranian diplomat also stated, “Netanyahu deceived the failing Biden administration into transferring $23 billion of American taxpayers’ money. And that is only a fraction of the real cost of any mistake against Iran.”

He emphasized, “If the goal is truly ‘they shall never obtain nuclear weapons,’ then a deal is possible — and the only path to it is diplomacy based on mutual respect and interest.”

He added, “The Netanyahu-aligned minority that fears diplomacy has already exposed its true intentions. The world must take note, because they are revealing their actual priorities.”

Recently, Iran and the United States have held three rounds of indirect talks with mediation by Oman. A planned fourth round of talks, scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed by Omani mediators due to “logistical reasons.”

Iran has repeatedly maintained that its right to enrich uranium is non-negotiable and that its peaceful nuclear program and enrichment capacity constitute a “red line” that cannot be compromised.
