Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is an ally of Israel and a major traitor - Analyst Abdel Bari Atwan
Abdel Bari Atwan, a prominent Arab world analyst, criticized Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for using offensive language against Hamas and the resistance fighters of Gaza, calling him an ally of the Zionist Israel and a major traitor.
In an article, Atwan pointed out how Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, recently attacked Hamas and the resistance fighters and used obscene language against them. He stated that Abbas has insulted Hamas and its fighters, who have been fighting the occupying forces for over a year and a half with patience and blood, defeated Israel’s plans in Gaza, and made the Arab and Islamic world proud through their resistance and heroic actions. According to Iran's news agency IRNA, as reported by Parstoday, Atwan mentioned in his article that leadership cannot be achieved through vulgarity or by cooperating with the occupying enemy and justifying its genocide, but through resistance and martyrdom.
Atwan highlighted that Abbas has failed to take any action even after witnessing the killing of children in Gaza and offering empty promises. He said, “The worst part is that you are blaming Hamas, not the Zionist Israeli butchers, whose hands are stained with blood. You want prisoners to be released when the resistance and Hamas have freed thousands of Palestinian prisoners from the occupier's prisons.”
Atwan further stated, “We will tell Abbas that there is no need to use prisoners as an excuse for the occupier Israel to carry out genocide in Gaza. Was there any heroism when the massacres of ‘Deir Yassin’ or ‘Sabra and Shatila’ took place in Lebanon? At that time, the Fatah movement, which you led, was present.”
The editor of "Ray al-Youm" also told Abbas, “These genocidal murderers were your partners in the Oslo Agreement. This was the greatest act of human betrayal, and you were its architect.” Under your leadership, 60,000 forces in Palestine have been working not for the interest of Palestinians but to achieve the goals of the occupiers and settlers.
