Russia and the United States to Hold Further Talks on Embassy Operations in Istanbul on April 10

Moscow, April 9, 2025: Russia and the United States will hold a new round of talks in Istanbul on April 10 to normalize the operations of their embassies, confirmed Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.

In a press conference, she stated, "The second round of discussions between Russia and the United States to normalize bilateral embassy operations will take place tomorrow." She further explained, "The Russian delegation will be led by Russia's Ambassador to the United States, Alexander Darchiyev, while the U.S. side will be represented by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Russia and Central Europe, Sonata Koltar."

Zakharova added that senior diplomats from both countries will participate in the discussions, which will focus on addressing the obstacles hindering progress in embassy operations, particularly in solving technical issues.
