Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump unveiled the first-ever 'Gold Card' visa from Air Force One on Thursday, with each visa valued at $5 million. President Trump showed a prototype of the card with his own image and told reporters that this special visa could be available to the public "within two weeks."

"I’m the first buyer," Trump said. "When sales start, it will be amazing, right?"

This new visa is described as a high-value version of the green card, which, according to Trump, will attract businesspeople and job creators to America, helping reduce the national budget deficit.

Trump, who has made deporting illegal immigrants a top priority during his second term, said, "This new card could be a valuable pathway to U.S. citizenship." He mentioned in February that his administration was aiming to sell "perhaps one million" gold cards, and that Russian oligarchs could also be eligible for this card.

Trump also noted that this visa program could play a role in America's economic prosperity and increasing national revenue.

In addition, on Wednesday, Trump announced new tax measures under his administration, marking a "Freedom Day." Layoffs have begun at the Health and Human Services Department, where 10,000 employees are at risk of losing their jobs.

Trump’s new 'Gold Card' visa program has sparked intense reactions worldwide, and it could signal a new direction for U.S. immigration policy in the future.
