Around the world, nearly 200 million Muslims are celebrating Eid al-Fitr, with Palestinians standing among the rubble, celebrating Eid amidst destruction. Muslims worldwide are celebrating Eid al-Fitr today, a joyful festival marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. This celebration is observed within the Muslim community through family gatherings, wearing new clothes, participating in festivities, and exchanging greetings with one another.

The situation in Gaza is quite different this Eid. This is Gaza's second Eid celebrated amid ongoing war in the region. Last month, Israel halted supplies of food, fuel, medicine, and other essentials to Gaza and later resumed bombing after breaking the ceasefire with Hamas, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people. According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, more than 50,000 people have been killed in Gaza due to Israeli attacks.

Meanwhile, other parts of the Middle East are celebrating Eid al-Fitr. Syria is celebrating its first Eid, where many people gather to pray and celebrate in joy. In Indonesia, many people follow a tradition called "Mudik," where they return to their villages to celebrate Eid with their families.

In Malaysia, there is also a tradition of returning home during Eid. The first day generally begins with Eid prayers at the mosque, followed by seeking forgiveness from family and friends and visiting the graves of loved ones.

In Egypt, after Eid prayers, people exchange greetings with family and friends, and some travel to tourist destinations. It is a common tradition for children to wear new clothes and receive gifts known as "Eidiya."

In the United States, where Muslims come from various ethnic and global communities, families and children gather to celebrate Eid with prayers and festivities.

Eid prayers have been held in various parts of the world, such as Cairo, Beijing, Moscow, Damascus, Tehran, and Kuala Lumpur.
