The crescent moon for the Hijri month of Shawwal has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, marking the beginning of Eid Al-Fitr celebrations. Authorities in Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have also announced that Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow. According to Gulf News, Oman, Iran, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Australia, and several other countries will celebrate Eid on Monday, as confirmed by their respective authorities.

Eid Al-Fitr prayers will take place across Saudi Arabia on Sunday, March 30, shortly after sunrise.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Alshaikh has instructed ministry branches to hold the prayers in designated Eid prayer grounds and mosques, but mosques near the prayer grounds will not hold prayers, as local residents will attend their designated prayer areas. The minister further emphasized the importance of preparation, such as maintenance and cleaning, to ensure a peaceful and comfortable prayer experience for worshipers.

There are currently 19,887 mosques and prayer areas in Saudi Arabia.

Maher Aldossary, a resident of Riyadh, shared his excitement for Eid, saying, "The joy of Eid is already in the air. We are bidding farewell to the blessed days of Ramadan and welcoming Eid with open hearts."

He added, "Families are preparing new clothes, collecting chocolates, and getting everything ready for the celebrations and breakfast feast. The streets are bustling with life, and you can feel the excitement everywhere."

Samar Alwan, who is spending the last days of Ramadan in Istanbul, said, "Ramadan in Istanbul has been truly special, and part of me wishes it could last just one more day. But now, the excitement for Eid is building. The streets are filled with lights, the markets are busy, and everyone is preparing, buying gifts, making sweets, and planning gatherings. It’s a beautiful time of joy and togetherness."

Sami Hijazi, a teacher from Jeddah, said, "We’ve already taken down the Ramadan decorations and started preparing for Eid. The house is buzzing with activity, ironing new clothes, preparing delicious treats for the kids, and making sure everything is perfect."

Meanwhile, on Thursday, the Supreme Court called on Muslims in Saudi Arabia to look for the crescent moon of Shawwal on Saturday evening, and anyone who sights the crescent moon is asked to report to the nearest court and register their testimony.
