Ankara, March 24 — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Monday that it is possible Turkey–U.S. relations could gain new momentum during U.S. President Donald Trump’s second term.
In a speech following a cabinet meeting, Erdoğan stated that during his "cordial" phone conversation with Trump, they discussed several important issues, including the removal of all obstacles to achieving the $100 billion trade goal between the two countries.
On March 16, Erdoğan and Trump spoke via phone, during which the Turkish President expressed full confidence that Ankara and Washington will advance their bilateral cooperation with a results-oriented approach, ushering in a new era of relations based on sincerity and mutual understanding.
