Trump Cancels Secret Service Protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, and Ashley Biden, his daughter, will no longer receive Secret Service protection.
On Monday, Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, stating, "Please be informed that Secret Service protection for Hunter Biden has been immediately revoked. Similarly, Ashley Biden, who was protected by 13 agents, has also been removed from the list."
Trump argued that Hunter Biden had been receiving Secret Service protection for an extended period, funded by American taxpayers. "Up to 18 agents were assigned for his security, which is completely unreasonable!" Trump stated.
Additionally, Trump mentioned that Hunter Biden is currently vacationing in South Africa, a country he criticized for its human rights issues. "This is why we are no longer considering South Africa as a recipient of economic and financial aid," he added.
Meanwhile, just hours before leaving office, Joe Biden granted presidential pardons to multiple family members, including James B. Biden, Sarah Jones Biden, Valerie Biden Owens, John T. Owens, and Francis W. Biden. Biden justified his decision by claiming that his family had been victims of political retaliation.
Earlier, in December 2023, Joe Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, who had been convicted in a federal gun case. The charges stemmed from allegations that in 2018, Hunter illegally possessed a firearm while struggling with drug addiction.
President Trump and the Republican Party have repeatedly accused Hunter Biden of being involved in significant conspiracies, aiming to portray him as part of a larger scandal.
