Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again taken aim at President Joe Biden, this time alleging that Biden used an "autopen" to sign important government documents throughout his administration. Trump claims that someone else was actually running the White House instead of Biden.

On Sunday, Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, sharing three side-by-side images: an official photo from his first term, an image of Biden’s autopen, and an official photo from his second term. Pinning the post, he wrote,
"The real President during Biden’s administration was the person who controlled the autopen!"

Trump further stated,
"This is truly shameful! Signing important documents should be a matter of pride, yet Biden used an autopen for everything. What will people think 300 years from now when they see this?"

Autopen Controversy and Republican Reactions

Trump’s post immediately went viral, with many Republican leaders and supporters backing his claims. Senator J.D. Vance and Missouri Lieutenant Governor David Wassinger shared Trump’s post, questioning,
"Who was controlling the autopen on Biden’s behalf?"

Even tech entrepreneur Elon Musk reacted on X (formerly Twitter) with a target emoji and a laughing emoji.

Autopen Investigation and New Report

A conservative think tank, the Heritage Foundation, recently published an investigative report through its "Oversight Project", claiming that Biden used the same type of autopen signature on nearly all official documents during his presidency.

The report states,
"Among all the documents we were able to collect, we could not find a single one bearing Biden’s personal signature. Every document had the same autopen signature, except for his official announcement withdrawing from the presidential race."

Investigators released three sample documents containing Biden’s signature:

  • Two executive orders (one signed in 2022 and another in 2024)
  • His formal withdrawal announcement from the presidential race

Biden Camp’s Silence

Fox News Digital reached out to Biden’s office for a comment, but received no response. However, Democrats have long been accused of concealing key information about Biden’s physical and mental health.

Some experts argue that autopen usage is not a new practice, as past presidents have used it for security reasons and time efficiency. However, they also note that no such controversy arose during the Trump administration.

Now, the key question remains: How will Biden’s team respond to this controversy, and what impact will it have on the upcoming election?
