U.S. Intelligence Chief Tulsi Gabbard Visits India for High-Level Talks on Global and Regional Security
Delhi, March 17 – U.S. National Intelligence Chief Tulsi Gabbard has arrived in India for a two-day visit, engaging in crucial meetings with Indian officials. This marks the first high-level visit from the Donald Trump administration, aimed at enhancing intelligence cooperation, cybersecurity, and defense relations between the United States and India.
Gabbard arrived in Delhi on Sunday morning and held a private meeting with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Their discussions focused on intelligence sharing and strengthening the India-U.S. strategic partnership. She also attended a top intelligence officials' conclave hosted by India, where topics such as terrorism, transnational crime, global security, and regional security challenges were discussed. Additionally, the Russia-Ukraine war and conflicts in the Middle East were key topics of discussion.
Meeting with Indian Defense Minister
In a separate meeting, Gabbard met with India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to explore ways to enhance security and defense cooperation. Their discussions included emerging threats in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. Following the meeting, Rajnath Singh posted on social media, stating:
"We had discussions on various topics, including defense and intelligence sharing, which will help further deepen India-U.S. relations."
During her visit, Gabbard also participated in a security and intelligence chiefs' summit, engaging with intelligence and security officials from 20 countries. The summit focused on global and regional security, with discussions on terrorism, transnational crime, and cybersecurity threats.

Gabbard’s visit is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening India-U.S. ties, creating new opportunities for collaboration in intelligence, security, and technology.
