Yemen's Houthi rebels have given Israel a 4-day ultimatum to lift the blockade on the flow of aid to Gaza. If Israel continues to block the flow of food, medicine, and aid to Gaza during this time, we will launch our boat attacks against Israel again."
The Houthi rebels have carried out nearly 100 attacks since Israel's assault on Gaza. During this period, they sank two ships and captured another. These attacks disrupted global shipping services, forcing commercial vessels to take longer, more expensive routes.
The Israeli blockade has worsened the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The United Nations, human rights organizations, and countries around the world have stated that this blockade could be considered a war crime. Health workers in Gaza have reported a shortage of medical supplies in hospitals, and emergency services have been disrupted due to a fuel crisis.
Meanwhile, Hamas has welcomed the Houthi group's declaration, describing it as part of their long-standing support for Gaza.
Israel's government has not yet responded to the Houthi group's threat.
