President Donald Trump: Zelensky Ready for Peace Agreement and Mineral Resources Deal

Washington, March 6: US President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky wrote him a letter expressing gratitude for America's support and his readiness to sign an agreement that would ensure future US support.

In his speech, Trump said Zelensky informed him that Ukraine is ready to sign a peace agreement with Russia and is willing to enter into an important mineral resources deal with the United States for this purpose.

Additionally, following Trump's comments, Vice President JD Vance, who was a central figure in the tensions between Trump and Zelensky on Friday at the White House, made skeptical remarks about the proposed international peacekeeping force that the UK and France had suggested for Ukraine's post-war situation.

Trump said, "Today I received an important letter from Ukraine's President Zelensky. He told me, 'Ukraine is ready to begin peace talks as soon as possible, and is prepared to take the necessary steps to bring peace.'"

Trump also revealed that Zelensky told him he is "ready to sign the agreement as soon as possible."

Meanwhile, regarding continued support for Ukraine, Vance stated that the mineral deal could serve as an effective countermeasure against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Additionally, leaders from the UK and France have proposed sending an international peacekeeping force for Ukraine's future peace agreement.
