London, March 6: UK officials held talks on Wednesday with nearly 20 countries, mostly European and Commonwealth nations, who are interested in forming a "coalition of the willing" in support of Ukraine, according to a British official.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on Sunday that the UK, France, and several other countries would form a coalition to create a plan to support Ukraine, which would be effective in a peace agreement aimed at ending Russia's war. However, the official did not provide details on which specific countries have shown interest in supporting the plan but mentioned, "This demonstrates the interest in convening a coalition of the willing and the willingness of various countries to participate."
He further stated, "This is still in the early stages, and the situation is very fluid."
