Dhaka University Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall Alumni Association Forms Advisory Committee A New Journey for Unity of Former Students and Welfare of Current Students Dhaka,                                                                                                                       March 1, 2025 — The Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall Alumni Association has formed an advisory committee with the goal of strengthening the unity among former students, contributing to the welfare of current students, and preserving and promoting the glorious traditions of Dhaka University.

The committee was announced on February 28, 2025, during a grand and lively event at the Officers’ Club in Dhaka, which saw the participation of established former students from various professions, current student leaders, and prominent personalities.

Leadership of the Newly Formed Advisory Committee

The advisory committee was formed with the following leadership:

Convener: Mr. Mesbah Uddin Ali, renowned industrialist, organizer, and former student leader

Member Secretary: Mr. Hafizullah Khan Liton, BCS Administration cadre officer and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government

It was announced that a full executive committee would be formed shortly under their leadership.

Alumni Gathering Turns into a Celebration

The event created a joyful atmosphere with the participation of both new and old alumni members. The gathering was filled with lively discussions on memories of student life, the hall’s traditions, and future plans for the development of current students.

The newly appointed Convener, Mr. Mesbah Uddin Ali, and Member Secretary, Mr. Hafizullah Khan Liton, said:

"We want to strengthen the bond among alumni. We aim to create a platform where current students can benefit from the success experiences of former students. This platform will provide them with opportunities to learn and grow."

They further added that the association would launch various programs such as skill development for students, career guidance, scholarships, and employment opportunities.

Cultural Program and Dinner

Following the discussions, a cultural program took place, featuring music, recitations, and drama performances by current and former students. The event concluded with a dinner.
