According to a report from Gulf News, the sighting of the moon was delayed due to cloudy skies in Saudi Arabia, but after the moon was seen, the announcement to start fasting was made. From today, Tarawih prayers will also begin after the Isha prayer in the country.
Additionally, Ramadan will begin on Sunday in Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei, and Japan. In Australia and Oman, Ramadan will start tomorrow. Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has extended Ramadan greetings to the people of the country.
In Bangladesh, the meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee for the holy month of Ramadan will be held tomorrow, Saturday evening. The meeting will be held at 6 PM at the meeting room of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram, and it will be chaired by the Advisor to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, A F M Khalid Hossain.
