Haifa, February 27 – On Thursday, February 27, at least 12 people were injured in a car-ramming incident in northern Israel. Police suspect that this may be a terrorist attack. They reported that the suspect's vehicle was successfully stopped, and a 24-year-old Arab Israeli citizen was arrested, who is believed to be responsible for the attack.

According to the police, the incident took place at the Karkur junction, south of Haifa, where the car hit a group of people. The attacker then tried to drive towards a police car and rammed into it. The police chased and apprehended the suspect.

Victims of the Attack
A total of 12 people were injured in the attack, and two of them are in critical condition.

Hamas's Praise
The Palestinian militant group Hamas praised the attack, calling it a "natural and heroic response." They stated, "This attack is a natural and heroic response to the brutal aggression and ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli forces." Hamas claimed that it was a reaction to Israel's 'Judaization' efforts in the northern areas of the West Bank and attempts to control Islamic holy sites, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
