February 20, 2025: US Vice President JD Vance has claimed that "we are on the cusp of peace in Europe," and this has only been possible under the leadership of US President Donald Trump. He further stated that Trump's diplomatic skills are crucial in resolving the Ukraine conflict and that "to establish peace in this ongoing war, Trump is ready to talk to all parties involved."

Vance said, "Trump knows that many issues are complex, but I know him, he is a great statesman who will find solutions to these problems." He claimed, "I firmly believe that for the first time in three years, we are on the cusp of peace in Europe."

Additionally, Vance made strong remarks against Europe, particularly Germany. He said, "If we do not steer our societies in the right direction, the strength of our relationship with Europe will be at risk." He accused Germany of allowing "unvetted migrants into the country," which he described as dangerous for their society.

He also added, "Germany’s military is entirely subsidized by American taxpayers, with thousands of American troops stationed there. Do you think the American taxpayer will tolerate that if someone goes to jail in Germany for posting a bad tweet?"

Vance, in his remarks, emphasized the importance of shared values in relationships with European countries, stating, "Friendship and alliances must be based on shared values. If you silence your own people because you fear them, our relationship with those countries can never be strong."

This was yet another reflection of his criticism towards European countries, where he claimed that their suppression of dissent and restrictions on freedom of speech go against the core principles of democracy and mutual friendship.
