Toronto, February 18 – A Delta Airlines regional jet flipped over during landing at Toronto Pearson Airport, injuring 18 of the 80 people on board. Among the injured, three are in critical condition, including a child.

Delta Airlines confirmed that the aircraft involved was a CRJ900, operated by its subsidiary Endeavor Air. The plane was traveling from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport to Toronto. After landing, it flipped over on a snow-covered runway, and video footage showed multiple wings detached from the plane.

According to an air ambulance official, the 16-year-old plane had 76 passengers and 4 crew members on board. At the time of landing, Toronto was experiencing severe weather with gusty winds and snowfall.

A passenger, John Nelson, shared footage of the aftermath on social media. He explained, “When we hit the ground, we were sliding sideways, and then we flipped over.”

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the accident.
