Suicide Attacks in Kunduz and Kabul, ISIS Claims Responsibility - At Least 8 Killed, Saudi Arabia Condemns

RIYADH, February 14, 2025: Saudi Arabia condemned and protested against two recent suicide attacks in Afghanistan on Thursday.

The first attack occurred on Tuesday in front of a bank in the northern city of Kunduz, where eight people were killed. ISIS (Daesh) claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that they targeted Taliban government employees who had come to collect salaries.

The second attack took place on Thursday at the Afghan Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, where one person was killed and at least three others were injured.

In a statement from the Foreign Ministry, Saudi Arabia expressed its strong opposition to such terrorist activities. The Kingdom reiterated its continued support for the Afghan people in their fight against all forms of violence, terrorism, and extremism.

The statement also expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims and the Afghan people, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
