Trump Announces Creation of 6 New Locations for the Resettlement of Palestinians from Gaza
Washington: President Donald Trump, in an interview with Fox News Channel's Bret Baier, stated that under his plan, Palestinians would not have the right to return to Gaza. He described his proposal as a "real estate development for the future."
Trump said he would create better housing for the Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip and proposed relocating them outside Gaza. He mentioned, "It will be in a place where they will be safe."
In the Fox News interview, Trump stated that there could be 5 to 6 different sites where Palestinians could move and start a new life, away from Gaza. He added, "No big money will be spent. It will be a beautiful piece of land, where the Palestinians will be safe."
Meanwhile, this proposal has been strongly criticized by the Arab world. Palestinians believe that Trump's suggestion of relocating them outside Gaza disregards their rights and makes their future even more uncertain.
