French President Emmanuel Macron shared some artificial intelligence-generated (AI) videos of himself to promote a technology summit that began in Paris on Monday. In a social media post, he highlighted the potential of AI and called for France and Europe to take the lead in shaping its future.

In one scene, Macron is seen singing and dancing to the 1980s hit song "Voyage Voyage" by French singer Desireless. In another video, he is inserted into a spy comedy film, playing a French secret agent character portrayed by Jean Dujardin. In a third video, Macron raps and shows off his moves, channeling French artist Nekfeu.

"Nicely done," Macron, dressed in a suit and tie, says in the video. "It’s quite well done, it made me laugh," he adds in his Instagram post.

"More seriously, with artificial intelligence, we can do big things: change healthcare, energy, and life in our society," the 47-year-old president says. "France and Europe must be at the heart of this revolution to seize every opportunity and also promote our principles," he continues.

On Monday and Tuesday, Macron will host the AI Action Summit in Paris, where heads of state and government will participate. India will co-chair the event.

At the end of the video, Macron is depicted in a popular parody scene as the U.S. television action hero MacGyver, known for his looks and resourcefulness.

"Oh, that's definitely me," Macron jokes.

By Sunday afternoon, the post had gathered more than 73,000 likes on Instagram. Many people commented that they thought Macron's Instagram account had been hacked.

One commenter wrote, "A great president."
