The Israeli prison authorities have announced that, under the Gaza ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel, 183 Palestinian prisoners have been released.

A statement confirmed that the prisoners were "transferred from various prisons across the country" and were "released to the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza."

The released prisoners in Gaza are experiencing emotional reunions with their loved ones. After getting off the buses outside the European Hospital in Khan Younis, they are seen embracing each other.

After their medical check-ups, the released prisoners are expected to return to their respective neighborhoods, which have been severely devastated by 15 months of Israeli attacks.
