Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit France on February 10, where he will participate in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced this during a press conference on February 7.

Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Paris on the evening of February 10 (Monday) and will attend a dinner hosted by President Macron at the Élysée Palace. The dinner will be attended by heads of state and top CEOs from the technology sector worldwide.

On February 11, Prime Minister Modi and President Macron will jointly organize the AI Summit. Vikram Misri mentioned that this summit is significant, following similar events held in the United Kingdom in 2023 and South Korea in 2024, and now it is being hosted in France.

After the summit, Prime Minister Modi and President Macron will hold a bilateral meeting and deliver speeches to the India-France CEOs Forum.

On the evening of February 11, Prime Minister Modi will visit Marseille, where President Macron will host him for another dinner.

On February 12, Prime Minister Modi and President Macron will pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who served in World War I. They will also inaugurate India's new consulate in Marseille.

Later, they will jointly visit Cadarache, the site of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER).

About the AI Action Summit:

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit will be held on February 10-11, 2025, at the Grand Palais in Paris. Organized by France and co-hosted by India, the summit will see participation from leaders of nearly 100 countries. Over 1,000 representatives from the private sector and civil society will also attend. The main objectives of the summit are to utilize AI for the public good, analyze its impact on future employment, promote innovation and culture, build trust in AI systems, and develop a global AI governance framework.
