Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that there are no "guarantees" about the stability of the Gaza ceasefire, as he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will discuss the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire.

Netanyahu is currently in Washington for meetings with the Trump administration, where they will discuss the final terms of the ceasefire with Hamas. Netanyahu, who has talked about demonstrating the strength of the Israel-U.S. alliance to the American President, has stated that he will discuss victory over Hamas, countering Iran, and the release of all hostages.

Trump, in his remarks, said, "I cannot guarantee that peace will be maintained," although he claimed success in securing the ceasefire agreement in Gaza's first phase. He further mentioned that talks are progressing, and there has also been progress in relations with other Middle Eastern countries.

Meanwhile, Hamas has announced that it is ready to begin talks on the second phase of the ceasefire. As part of this phase, Hamas is expected to release 33 hostages, and nearly 1,900 Palestinian prisoners will be freed from Israeli jails.

The second phase of Gaza's ceasefire may include the potential for prisoner exchanges, a full withdrawal of Israeli troops, and the possibility of a permanent peace agreement.

Additionally, Israel's military operations in the West Bank continue, with many Palestinians being killed and arrested.
