Under the Gaza peace agreement, 183 Palestinian prisoners have been released today. Many of them have reached Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, where they were greeted by jubilant crowds. Among them, 32 prisoners were brought to Ramallah from Ofer Prison in a Red Cross bus.

Additionally, in the midst of Gaza's health crisis, the Rafah border crossing has been opened to allow injured and sick Palestinians to travel to Egypt for medical treatment. This marks the first time in nearly nine months that this border route has been opened after the blockade on Gaza.

Meanwhile, after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces are set to release 111 Palestinian prisoners from Gaza, of whom 94 will return to Gaza and seven will be deported to other locations via Egypt.

On the other hand, Israeli forces have continued their extensive military operations in the occupied West Bank, especially in the Jenin and Tulkarem refugee camps, where more than 20 people have been killed in the past week.

Since the Hamas attack, at least 47,460 Palestinians have been killed and 111,580 injured in Gaza. In the October 7 attack, 1,139 people were killed in Israel, and more than 200 were taken captive.
