England's Bowling Rampage Leads to Indian Batting Collapse, England Wins by 26 Runs in 3rd T20 Match

In the third T20I match held in Rajkot on Tuesday, England defeated India by 26 runs, keeping their hopes alive in the five-match series. While England’s all-round performance was exceptional, Indian bowler Varun Chakravarthy's five-wicket haul remained just a record and couldn’t secure victory for the hosts.

India won the toss and chose to field first. Among the Indian bowlers, Chakravarthy stood out, taking 5/24 and delivering a brilliant bowling performance against England's batsmen. However, his extraordinary performance couldn’t help India clinch the win.

For England, Ben Duckett and Liam Livingstone played exceptional innings. Duckett completed his fifty in just 26 balls, scoring 50 before being dismissed by Axar Patel. Despite Chakravarthy's incredible bowling, Livingstone's quickfire 43 off 24 balls helped England reach a total of 171 runs.

Apart from Chakravarthy's five-wicket haul, Hardik Pandya fought valiantly, but the failure of the other Indian batsmen denied them a chance for victory. India’s batting collapse started early, with England’s pace attack of Mark Wood, Jofra Archer, and Brydon Carse taking crucial wickets.

As the match progressed, Indian batsmen kept getting dismissed. Pandya was out for 40 runs, and after his dismissal in the 19th over, India couldn’t recover. In the final moments, England's bowlers took two more wickets, and India was defeated by 26 runs.

India leads the series 2-1, with the next T20I match scheduled for February 2 in Pune.
