India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent New Year greetings to Bangladesh's Interim Government's Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus.

This information was provided by the Chief Adviser's press wing on Monday evening.

Along with this, a photo of the New Year greeting card for 2025 sent by Narendra Modi was also shared by the Chief Adviser's press wing.

However, when asked about sending New Year greetings 27 days into the year, the Chief Adviser's press wing explained that it took time for the message to reach due to it coming through "diplomatic channels," meaning through official diplomatic means.

Professor Muhammad Yunus assumed the role of Chief Adviser on August 8. On the same day, Narendra Modi had posted a greeting on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, congratulating Yunus on assuming his new position.
