British Prime Minister Keir Starmer Praised by President Donald Trump, Says UK-US Relationship is Incredibly Strong

Alongside his comments on Greenland and Gaza last night, Donald Trump also praised British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. Trump said, "He has done a very good job so far."

Speaking to the BBC while aboard Air Force One, Trump revealed that he would have a phone conversation with Sir Keir within the next 24 hours. Trump said, "I have a good relationship with him; I like him a lot. He is liberal, which is a bit different from me, but I think he is a very good person and has done a very good job so far."

"I may not agree with his philosophy, but we have a very good relationship."

After Trump’s re-election in November, Sir Keir and Trump had spoken on the phone, during which Downing Street stated that both leaders agreed that the relationship between the UK and the US is "incredibly strong" and would "continue to thrive in the future."
