In the semifinals of the 2025 Australian Open, World No. 1 tennis star Aryna Sabalenka defeated Spain’s Paula Badosa to secure her place in the final. On Thursday, January 23, Sabalenka claimed victory in straight sets, winning 6-4, 6-2, which takes her to her third final in Melbourne.

After the win, Sabalenka promised her good friend Paula Badosa a “shopping date.” Sabalenka said, "We are very good friends, and I promise I’ll pay for anything you want to buy."

World No. 1 Sabalenka achieved her 20th consecutive win in Melbourne while remaining unbeaten in her current form. The friendship between Sabalenka and Badosa remains strong, and Sabalenka stated that no matter the outcome of the match, their friendship will remain unchanged.
