Qatar Calls for UN Resolution on Full Implementation of Gaza Ceasefire Deal

Qatar's representative to the UN, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, has called on the UN Security Council to pass a binding resolution supporting the full implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. She emphasized that Qatar urges the international community to assist in ensuring the successful implementation of the ceasefire deal in Gaza.

In her speech at the UN, Al Thani stated that Qatar has taken a firm stance against any attempts to create obstacles in finding a sustainable resolution to the Palestinian issue, particularly efforts to annex Palestinian territory and violate religious sanctities.

She further noted that Qatar believes the Gaza ceasefire deal should mark the beginning of effective steps toward resolving the Palestinian issue.
