Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that no steps will be taken towards a Gaza ceasefire until they receive the list of 33 captives to be released by Hamas in the first phase. Netanyahu said in a tweet (on X), "Until we receive the list of captives, no action will be taken according to the agreement. Israel will not tolerate any violation of the agreement. The full responsibility lies with Hamas."

Meanwhile, Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has announced that he is resigning from Netanyahu's government. He has strongly opposed the ceasefire agreement and claimed that his Otzma Yehudit Party, also known as the Jewish Power Party, will sever ties with the government if the agreement goes through.
