Students of Belgrade State University Protest Against Government, Commemorate Victims of the Tragedy

Belgrade, January 18: On Friday, thousands of protesters in Belgrade marched against the government, accusing it of negligence, corruption, and incompetence, which they claim were responsible for the deaths in the Novi Sad railway station roof collapse in November 2024.

The protest was organized and led by students from Belgrade State University. They observed a 15-minute silent vigil in front of the RTS television building to remember the victims and demand justice from the government.

The protesters accused the government of failing to bring those responsible for the roof collapse to justice, which resulted in the deaths of more than a dozen people. The students are strongly calling for those responsible to be held accountable under the law.
