Los Angeles, January 14 – Los Angeles firefighters on Tuesday prepared for a new round of intense winds that could further fuel two devastating wildfires, which have already claimed 24 lives and destroyed thousands of structures.

According to the National Weather Service, most areas of Los Angeles and Ventura County could experience wind gusts of 50 to 70 mph from Tuesday through Wednesday due to the Santa Ana winds, which have regained strength after a relatively calm period last week.

Over 90,000 people have already been evacuated from the Los Angeles area due to the wildfires. This catastrophic natural disaster has damaged or destroyed 12,000 structures. Rescue workers are currently searching through the rubble for survivors and assessing hazardous situations.

To aid the rescue efforts, U.S. President Joe Biden has announced additional disaster relief. Additionally, several banks have initiated measures to ease mortgage terms for those affected by the disaster.

Firefighters are working tirelessly to combat the wildfires, but the increasing wind speeds could make their efforts even more challenging. As a precaution, residents have been advised to seek safe shelter.
