The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli forces launched a "massive bombing attack" in the southern town of Kfar Kila during the early hours of the morning, causing tremors in the surrounding towns.

Additionally, Israeli forces are conducting a large-scale search operation in the southern town of Khiam, using heavy and medium machine guns.

This comes at a time when Israeli forces have also carried out airstrikes on the outskirts of Janta in the eastern Baalbek region and near the southern town of Nabatieh.

The Israeli military had previously stated that it targeted several Hezbollah positions, including a rocket launcher, and "routes along the Syria-Lebanon border" that were being used for smuggling weapons to Hezbollah.

These attacks occur just two weeks before the January 26 deadline for implementing the ceasefire announced in November. Both sides have accused each other of violating the ceasefire.
