25 passengers were rescued alive, but 22 of them have been hospitalized. The injured are receiving treatment, although some of their conditions are critical.
The plane had taken off from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and was heading to Grozny, Russia. Kazakh authorities have stated that the cause of the crash is still unclear, and an investigation is underway.
The incident has cast a shadow of grief over Kazakhstan and the relevant countries.
