President Donald Trump has appointed his daughter-in-law, Kimberly Guilfoyle, as the U.S. Ambassador to Greece, shortly after announcing plans to appoint his son-in-law Jared Kushner’s father, Charles Kushner, as the U.S. Ambassador to France following the November elections. This appointment comes at a time when rumors are circulating about her separation from her husband, Donald Trump Jr.

Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host and political fundraiser, married Donald Trump Jr. on December 31, 2020. However, recent speculation has raised questions about their relationship.

In announcing her appointment, Trump referred to Guilfoyle as a close friend and ally over the years, emphasizing her qualifications for the position without addressing her marital situation. Trump stated, "She is fully equipped to strengthen the strong bilateral relationship between Greece and the U.S., particularly in areas such as defense cooperation, trade, and economic innovation."

On social media platform Truth Social, Trump praised Guilfoyle’s extensive experience in law, media, and politics, alongside her sharp intelligence, which he believes makes her highly qualified to represent the United States.

Before Tuesday’s announcement, reports suggested that Donald Trump Jr. was dating socialite Bettina Anderson. British tabloid The Daily Mail published several photos of the pair, describing them as undeniable evidence of their relationship.

Neither Trump’s office nor Guilfoyle has made an official statement regarding the potential separation from her husband.
