Formal End to the 12-Day Iran-Israel War to Be Declared After 24 Hours – President Donald Trump
[Washington, June 24, 2025]
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the 12-day war between Iran and Israel is finally coming to an end. According to Trump, both nations have agreed to a complete and total ceasefire, which will be implemented gradually over the next 24 hours.
President Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform:
"Congratulations to everyone! Israel and Iran have fully agreed to a complete ceasefire. In about six hours, both countries will complete their ongoing missions. After that, a 12-hour ceasefire will go into effect, and the war will be considered ‘ended.’"
He further stated:
"Officially, Iran will begin the ceasefire first. Then, 12 hours later, Israel will follow. Once the 24-hour process is complete, a formal declaration of the end of the war will be presented to the world."
"This war could have lasted for years and could have destroyed the entire Middle East. But it didn’t—and never will! God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless America, and God bless the world."
According to Reuters, a senior Iranian official confirmed the ceasefire agreement. Sources indicate that Qatar’s Prime Minister played a crucial role in brokering the deal.
President Trump personally contacted the Emir of Qatar and requested him to help persuade Iran to agree to the ceasefire. Then, Vice President J.D. Vance coordinated the details with Qatar’s Prime Minister.
A diplomat told Fox News:
"The effort was successful. Iran agreed, and peace was achieved through direct coordination between all parties involved."
Although an Iranian missile strike had occurred on a Qatari base just hours earlier, Qatar still prioritized regional security and led the diplomatic efforts.
On Monday, Iran launched six missiles targeting the U.S.-run Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar. However, a statement from Qatar’s foreign ministry confirmed that all missiles were intercepted and destroyed, with no casualties reported.
President Trump wrote:
"I am pleased to report—no Americans or Qataris were killed or injured. I thank the Emir of Qatar for his attention and effort in this matter."
Democratic Congressman Jared Moskowitz said:
"If Israel was able to weaken Iran’s military in just 12 days and the U.S. struck their nuclear program—without losing a single American life—that’s a win for the country."
House Intelligence Committee member Rep. Jim Himes expressed discomfort about such critical information being shared first on social media:
"If there really is a ceasefire, that would obviously be a good thing. But learning about it through Truth Social instead of an official briefing is unsettling."
Congressman Marlin Stutzman said:
"The message is clear—this president wants peace, but if someone refuses to negotiate, there will be consequences."
If the phased ceasefire process concludes successfully within 24 hours, it will mark the formal end of the bloody 12-day conflict between Iran and Israel. And as President Trump stated, "This war could have lasted for years, but it didn’t—and that’s the real victory."
