The Saudi Arabian government has strongly condemned the missile attack launched by Iran on the US military base Al-Udeid in Qatar. The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as “a direct violation of international law and the principles of maintaining good relations with neighboring states.”

A statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said:
“This incident is completely unacceptable and cannot be justified under any circumstances. It poses a direct threat to regional stability.”

“We reaffirm our full support and stance alongside our brotherly state Qatar. Qatar’s sovereignty and security are an inseparable part of our own security.”

Through this statement, Saudi Arabia has sent a clear message that it views Iran’s aggression not only as an attack on Qatar’s security but as a threat to the security of the entire Gulf region.

Just hours after Qatar closed its airspace, Iran fired six missiles toward the Al-Udeid US base. However, Qatar’s air defense system successfully intercepted the attack. Following this event, security dialogues among Qatar, the United States, and other Gulf countries are intensifying.

Analysts suggest that Saudi Arabia’s firm stance may indicate the emergence of a new strategic anti-Iran alliance in the Middle East, especially as the US, Qatar, and other allied states unite to confront Iran’s aggressive policies.
