The U.S. airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities have triggered global diplomatic unrest and raised fears of a potential new war. U.S. President Donald Trump has described the strike as a "precise and broad military success," even as world leaders emphasize the need for diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions.
Last Thursday, President Trump had announced that he would decide within two weeks whether the U.S. would get involved in the conflict. However, in just a matter of days, he made the decision, and early Sunday morning, the U.S. joined Israel’s military campaign.
Trump claimed,
“Our strikes on Iran’s three key nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—were precise and successful.”
He warned that if Iran attacks any U.S. targets, the response will be even more severe.
