Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has strongly condemned Israel’s recent attacks targeting Iran’s economic facilities. He described these attacks as “extremely dangerous” and warned about their disastrous regional and international consequences.
According to a report by Qatar’s state news agency, Qatar News Agency, Sheikh Mohammed expressed these concerns during a phone call with Norway’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide. He said,
“Israel’s repeated violations and attacks are not only undermining regional peace efforts but are pushing the entire region toward a wider war.”
Sheikh Mohammed called on the international community to play a responsible role in easing the ongoing Iran-Israel tensions and reiterated Qatar’s support for efforts to restore peace and stability.
These remarks come at a time when Israel accuses Iran of creating threats in the Middle East through armed groups, while Tehran counters that it is preserving its right to self-defense unless Israeli aggression stops.
Tensions are escalating rapidly, and fears of a regional war are intensifying. International observers believe that strikes on Iran’s economic infrastructure could be seen as a direct provocation toward war.
