Protest in Berlin in Solidarity with Palestinians and Against Israel’s Brutal Attacks
Berlin: Thousands of people joined the protest in Berlin against Israel’s intensified attacks on Gaza, expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine and condemning the ongoing assault on Gaza. The protest, held at the Wittenbergplatz Square in Berlin, saw participants carrying Palestinian flags and banners with various slogans. The banners included messages such as, "Stop the war," "One child dies every 10 minutes in Gaza," "Stop the genocide," "We will never turn a blind eye," "Gaza will survive," and "Ceasefire now."
During the protest, slogans like "Freedom for Palestine" and "The only solution is to end the occupation" were chanted. Since Hamas’s cross-border attack on October 7, Israel has been targeting Gaza, reducing the area to rubble. More than half of the coastal region’s homes have been damaged or destroyed, and nearly 2 million people have been displaced within Gaza, facing a severe shortage of food and clean water.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health has reported that at least 50,695 Palestinians have been killed and 115,338 injured due to Israel’s war. The official media office has stated that the death toll has surpassed 61,700, with thousands of people believed to be buried under rubble.
Meanwhile, following the Hamas attack on October 7, at least 1,139 people were killed in Israel, and more than 200 others were taken hostage.
