Former Vice President Kamala Harris is reportedly considering a run for governor of California. In light of this, President Donald Trump has offered her some advice.

"One thing she has to do is take more interviews," Trump said during an interview with Clay Travis of OutKick aboard Air Force One. He further added, "During COVID, Joe Biden didn't do interviews, and he got away with it because the situation was special."

Harris's potential candidacy for California governor has been the subject of speculation, and according to a report from CBS News, Harris is expected to make a decision by the end of summer. Current California Governor Gavin Newsom is term-limited and cannot run for re-election in 2026, opening the door for several candidates to vie for the position.

A former advisor to Harris told CBS News, "Harris would be a great fit for this role, with her national and state-level experience, and California is currently facing many challenges."

However, there are some questions surrounding Harris, particularly regarding her 2020 presidential campaign, during which she was accused of avoiding interviews and tough questions. After Joe Biden dropped out and endorsed Harris, she went 39 days without giving any interviews. Later, she did appear in several interviews, but some of these were criticized for her evading difficult questions.

Additionally, Harris had planned to appear on a podcast with celebrity podcaster Joe Rogan, but the interview ultimately fell through, with Rogan accusing Harris's team of placing conditions on the questions that could be asked.

Meanwhile, Trump himself appeared on Rogan's podcast, where he received Rogan's endorsement.

In light of all this, the possibility of Harris running for California governor has sparked significant political discussion.
